A Charm for Healing the Physical Body

This charm can be used spoken or written. It can be used directly on a patient, written or otherwise emblazoned on amulets or used to empower magical or medical healing tools.

“In the first days, before field and fir,
Before hill was high or sea was deep,
There was Ymir, the First Body.

His flesh became the earth,
His blood became the waters,
His bones became the mountains,
His teeth became the stones,
His skull became the sky.

Though his body was slain,
Nothing was lost.
What was divided became whole.
What was broken became the world.
What was laid down rose again
As field, forest, river, and ridge.

So I remember the First Body,
And as earth stands fast from Ymir's flesh,
As mountain stands firm from Ymir's bone,
As the green world grows from Ymir’s self,
So let this flesh remember itself.

Let bone know bone.
Let sinew know sinew.
Let blood know its right road.
Let skin close kindly.
Let strength return where strength belongs.

As the world was woven from the Giant,
So be this body woven whole again.
As earth stands unfallen from his bones,
So stand ______________, and be whole.

Earth beneath,
Sky above,
Ymir within them both.
Whole was the First Body.
Whole be this one.”
